Rompope (pronounced rom-po-pay) is a liqueur made from [ingredient=rum rum], eggs, sugar and vanilla that is similar to both eggnog and the Dutch [ingredient=advocaat Advocaat], but is indigenous to Mexico. While there are many commercial versions of rompope, it is often found homemade, and served atop crushed ice, or alongside desserts.

Most rompope is a pale yellowish color and opaque, with a flavor quite similar to thinned out pastry cream. Most commercial brands of rompope are low in alcohol, around 20-30 proof, though homemade versions can be much higher.
