Tarragon syrup

Tarragon syrup is a type of simple syrup that is infused with fresh tarragon leaves. Tarragon is botanically related to wormwood, and has a licoricey-fresh green aroma and flavor. 

As tarragon is rather delicate, a short infusion of the herb is required in the hot syrup. 5-10 minutes of steeping typically provides enough aroma and flavor without extracting bitterness or weedy flavors.
