1⁄2 oz Añejo rum, Santa Teresa 1796
1⁄2 oz Fernet Branca
1⁄4 oz Herbal liqueur, Yellow Chartreuse
1 ds Absinthe
Instructions

Shake. Coupe. No garnish

Notes

Don't over do the absinthe!!
Probably other rums would work. The antica, yellow chartreuse and absinthe are strong enough ingredients that my bet is that any good aged rum will work in this drink.

History

Jess said this was a take on another drink. Don't quite remember. Maybe a "howl." Jess said adding Fernet was a tip to SF -- thus adding "on the hill" Gonna guess this drink hasn't been on the menu there much before 2010. I had it Oct 2011.
