Gin Basil Smash

Gin, Lemon juice, Simple syrup, Basil
2ozGin, Beefeater
1ozLemon juice (1/2 lemon)
23ozSimple syrup
1lfBasil (as garnish)
Muddle 1/2 lemon with large handful basil, add simple and test for sweetness. Add ice and gin, shake, double strain, rocks-filled frozen old fashioned glass
